Food Quality is an important issue. We trust that the food we purchase
is safe and is of quality.
How to establish food quality? Is it determined by metrics, comparing it
with other elements that are as per the food standards or something related to
color, texture or smell?
The information like composition of food products on the product labels
or through advertising, which is not false and misleading, helps us in taking an
informed decision.
At Al Jazeera International Catering, we consider
food quality and safety as our primary and basic value composition for our
customers. That is why the quality aspect is been embedded into the
organization at all stages of food production process, ensuring quality
compliance from farm to fork.
Our key aspects for ensuring quality in the food we serve to our clients
are:
SOURCING
“The beginning is the most important part of the work”as rightly said, we ensure our supplies are sourced as per our
predefined quality standards and is procured only from our pre-qualified
suppliers who fulfill our quality and HSE requirements.
VERIFICATION
Though trust is the major part in stakeholder
relationship, we verification of the product for quality checks by our QHSE
staff is mandatory process while receiving the stock.
MONITORING
Our HACCP systems which emphasis on food quality
and safety as the core component through the operations process is put in place
to ensure the quality products are delivered. The checklist and the designated
parameters are used to monitor the same and also to ensure that quality is
adhered with accountability and responsibility at all levels.
The monitoring and adherence is further validated
and improved through regular QHSE inspections, third party audits and
regulatory compliance checks.
Quality from the beginning to the end should be the motto, be it
professional or personal front.
JIC recognizes the performance
and skills of its employees and rates it on a regular basis. Their performance
is further scrutinized and the Best Employee for the month is chosen. From the Best

When did you join

the year 2012 as a waiter. Apart from the regular work, I used to go beyond my
call of duty and check if all the required items in the dining area is in place
or not, if the items are not available, I’ll not wait till the supervisor
instructs me to complete the task, I take the initiative and complete the job. I
always complete my work within the time and ask if there is anything more I
could do before I leave for the day. If there is any I would make sure I
complete it and leave.
What according to
you, made you “Star of the Star”
As
a Senior Waiter, I always felt responsible towards my duties and completed it with
conviction. May be these qualities helped me become one of the best in the star
of the month awardees. There were so many people in the competition; I didn’t
have any clue that I would get the award. My performance was well recognized
and was selected as Star of the month in the month of Oct 14.
How did you feel
when you received this Award?
When
I received this Award, I was overwhelmed; I couldn’t believe that I got the
award.
I
called my family back home and shared this happiness with them. My family
members were very happy and mother congratulated and encouraged me to perform
my job with passion and bring more laurels to the family and company. All my
colleagues said that “you did a fantastic job and you deserve it”.
My
reward was an all expense paid trip to my home town, with 15 days paid salary.
I
want to thank Management, my colleagues for their encouragement and my
supervisors for selecting me. I would like to thank specially MD for honoring
me with this certificate. Not only the Certificate but granted
What is your advice
to your colleagues?
I
want to tell them “Do your work with commitment and take the company to the
newer heights, your hard work will definitely be recognized”

without any complaints though he was provided with less number of staff during

A report that is used as a
tool for estimating potential receivables from the clients as per the scheduled
due dates is called the Accounts Receivables Ageing Analysis.
Maintaining this kind of
report helps to identify the invoices that are due beyond the payment terms and
collecting efforts allowing following up on the slow paying clients.
Few of the advantages to
focus and follow up on the accounts receivables:
- This report is used to get an idea on
the accounts receivable’s volume that are due for payment and also helps in
determining which receivable needs more focus and follow up.
- It helps management to take decisions
regarding the financial forecasting based on the receivables.
- Most of the companies base their
financial stability on the performance of their cash flows; hence they have a
team that would focus only on monitoring the receivables. To achieve that the
accounts receivable ageing report helps.
A company has a low turnover because
it might have a poor paying clientele or inefficient receivables department, whose
focus is not strong on collecting the amounts that are due as per the due date.
To have a good turnover rate,
the company should either have good clientele who adhere to the timelines
agreed or the receivables team who are very strong in collecting the dues as
per the timelines agreed. If the problem of receivables is triggered properly
then the company would have a sound turnover and successful business.
